Tabacco: First, I must admit I am NOT angry today. I am hopeful! I haven’t said that since Bill Clinton left the White House in 2001. I have worked hard on this Blog for the past 3 years, but now the REAL WORK BEGINS!
Today, Tabacco (66-year-old 3/5 of a man who played Whist at Howard University with Stokely Carmichael) feels like 5/5 American. I have never felt like this before – NEVER! And I have rarely felt, since adolescence, like an American. Today I am an American. Today I feel like it is safer for an American to travel abroad. It feels good to say this: I am an AMERICAN!
I can imagine how the people of India felt when they finally got rid of the British. I can imagine how the people of African countries felt when they finally got rid of the Europeans. I can imagine how the American Colonists felt when they finally got rid of the British. There go the Brits again! And I can imagine how the Iraqis will feel when they finally get rid of the United States of America or US.
I felt good all during Bill Clinton’s 8 years. I felt good all during Jimmy Carter’s 4 years. I felt good during the 8 years of John F. Kennedy-Lyndon Johnson. But I felt awful when JFK, MLK & Malcolm X were gunned down. Whenever Democrats live at the White House, I feel good. Whenever Republicans live there, I feel bad. Worse than that, when Republicans live there, I feel helpless. Thank God we will have at least 4 positive years to look forward to. This is more than Politics; this is LIFE!
What was the reason for Slavery? The Iraq War? The Wall Street Bailout? The Real Estate Crisis? The Stock Market Melt Down? Global Warming? The Civil War? The Answer to all those questions is the same:
Those, who offer Kickbacks to politicians in High Places to gain an unfair advantage over others, cause all the major problems of Society. We must be forever distrustful of the Rich because the minute you take a 5-minute snooze, they put one over on you.
These Disaster Capitalists are un-American because they manipulate, exploit and fleece other Americans, who are not so well-connected. I have no problem with the concept of Capitalism, but I do have a major problem with Capitalists, who do anything and everything in the pursuit of Fortunes with little or no regard for the condition of other Americans, while excusing their own bad behavior by claiming that they are making a “contribution” to the country while others, beneath them on the Socio-Economic Scale, do not.
In the Iowa Democratic Primary, some Republicans crossed over to vote for Obama, who didn’t really support him. They did it to wound Hillary Clinton, making her weaker in the national election. They got their wish. Hillary was so wounded that ultimately she was not the Democratic nominee. Putney Swope, err, I mean Barack Obama became the nominee. Let this be a lesson to the GOP. Twice they crossed over to defeat Cynthia McKinney in Georgia. Connecticut Republicans gave the GOP Senate candidate 4% of the vote and crossed over to elect the Pariah, Joe Lieberman.
Republicans got away with their Crossover Voting Strategy three times, but this time their dastardly deed cost them big time. They might have beaten Hillary Clinton because of her HIGH NEGATIVES. Obama merely had to overcome staunch Republicans and Bigots, which he did. This time the Strategy FAILED BIG TIME!
But this is no time for gloating, Democrats! This is the time to demonstrate to America and the World that Democrats and “Bottom-Up” Economic Strategy works, while Republicans and “Trickle Down” never does.
This is the time to stop allegedly “Preemptive Wars”, which are really Wars of Aggression & Imperialism, mostly for Oil and Military Profits!
This is the time to stop exploiting Illegal Hispanics with False Promises and NOT give them Legal Status here just so they can FIGHT OUR ILLEGAL WARS FOR US & VOTE DEMOCRATIC! Are you listening, Mr. President-Elect!
Mr. Barack Hussein Obama, President-Elect, if you do as you promised you would, if you decline the Graft and Corruption that your predecessor could not, if you lead America and the World as did those Icons of the past – Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt & Abraham Lincoln – then you will not be the LAST non-Caucasian US President. Even women will be irreparably disenfranchised from Presidential aspirations by your failure to act responsibly.
We do not expect you to completely reverse the 8 years of Disaster Capitalism under the George W. Bush administration or redistribute the Wealth to former levels in 4 or even 8 years, but we do expect you, a Democrat, to act in our behalf and not solely for the Have-Mores as you did when you voted for the WALL STREET BAILOUT, as did your Republican opponent, John McCain.
And we do anticipate completely that your Presidency will restore America’s reputation abroad as the World’s Leader and no longer the World’s Primary Capitalist-Imperialist.
We hope you will present to the American Public Single Payer Universal Healthcare and explain the difference between that REAL SOLUTION and the False Solution of Universal Healthcare without Single Payer. You must also prepare the country for the NEGATIVE PROPAGANDA, which will surely occur, from the Insurance Companies, HMOs, AMA and other Capitalist entities, which now PROFIT UNNECESSARILY FROM OUR MEDICAL INSURANCE under plain Universal Healthcare and our current system.
We expect you to keep your word and VOID the practice of REWARDING OUTSOURCERS for their OUTSOURCING. And allow Americans to compete against Americans, not against the desperate poor in 3rd World countries. Review & Reverse ALL FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS to allow other countries to prosper, but NOT at the expense of America’s Middleclass.
And finally, do NOT permit Imperialists, War Mongers, Disaster Capitalists and the like to permeate your administration. After all, “a man is judged by the company he keeps”! And it is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a Republican politician to be honest.
Do all this, and Tabacco will fight just as hard to raise your salary to $12 million per annum, commensurate with your position, as I have fought against the Neocons (Quasicons), Demagogues & selfish Have-Mores, who ran this country into the ground for the past 8 years.
Now Tabacco and the World join in wishing you a truly historic and great presidency.
Congratulations to you, Mr. President Obama, and congratulations to the People of the World. This is a great day for us all.
Mr. President-Elect, you wanted this job – well, you’ve got it! Be careful what you wish for!
Tabacco: I consider myself both a funnel and a filter. I funnel information, not readily available on the Mass Media, which is ignored and/or suppressed. I filter out the irrelevancies and trivialities to save both the time and effort of my Readers and bring consternation to the enemies of Truth & Fairness!
