Tabacco: You older Americans may remember the theory from the 1950s that fluoridated water was a Russian Communist plot. Well, I have no information yea or nay on that one. I haven’t drunk reservoir water in over 30 years. But I wouldn’t discard that theory totally until research is done on Ron Reagan, George W. and John McCain. If all three were raised on the stuff, then I demand an investigation!
After opening with a little levity, I now proceed to the obvious. Years ago I knew guys who sniffed glue. We’ve always had alcohol. Then there were heroin, Methadone, LSD, cocaine & crack and today Ecstasy. Americans as a group want to GET HIGH!
I had a tenant, Mrs. Violet Smith, who was always plastered when not at work. She died of alcohol abuse in 1991 at age 46. The day she moved in, she was dead drunk. Her nephew did all the moving. When she was still alive, I returned home one Friday evening and her yellow sports car was parked dead center in the driveway. I had never seen such an anomaly. I went upstairs to find out what was wrong. Sheila, another tenant, was having a birthday party. Never again do I ever remember seeing that yellow sports car parked correctly. My next-door neighbor installed bushes because Mrs. Smith had turned the car around on the grass leaving deep tire marks in both my grass and my neighbor’s.
Have you watched TV lately? The comedies are unfunny. The newest films, aimed at being comedies, are just in bad taste. What could be worse than a non-funny comedy!
The commercials are funny. Funny sells! But funny commercials do NOT a good product make! It is left to the viewer to make that connection.
Even if you’ve never heard or seen them perform, we know who Hannah Montana and Brittany Spears are now.
Even though she has no talent, we all know who Paris Hilton and Anna Kournikova are now. Anna never won a single tennis tournament, but she looks damn good. Why no films? After all, Bo Derek couldn’t act either? How bad could Anna’s acting be!
Paris was in some TV series. Obviously it didn’t succeed.

If she didn’t look good, I wouldn’t be republishing this photo! Obviously her looks are the limits of her talents. So why the fuss! If you want to see Kournikova, look up your own soft porn! Truth is, though I think Kournikova is even better looking than Hilton, the photos pale in comparison to the one above. Three cheers for photographers with imagination!
Now for more serious fodder! Americans have a short attention span. That’s why most commercials last 15-30 seconds. That’s all that’s required – that plus constant repetition. Don’t believe me? Watch John McCain commercials and oppose that assessment.
Question: Why do sitcoms have laugh tracks?
Answer: So you will know when you should laugh! Haydn, of classical music fame, did something similar. He inserted loud percussive noises at the end of symphonies so his audiences would know when to applaud.
Question: Why don’t Politicos ever tell us WHY or HOW they want to do or not do something with our tax dollars?
Answer: Because Americans would turn the channel if they were burdened with too much information, too many facts and too much fodder requiring actual thought.
John McCain (forgive the redundancy) constantly repeats “offshore drilling” as the Solution to “America’s dependence on foreign gasoline”. But he never says HOW or WHY. Why OFFSHORE DRILLING will facilitate this or HOW. He lets you ASSUME that OFFSHORE DRILLING will lower the prices of gasoline at the pump next week. That assumption is of course INVALID. But the American public is already behind it by 69%, according to the latest polls. That’s the same 69%, who favored Bush’s Iraq War a couple of years ago. So much for the American public’s intelligence, knowledgeableness, and decision-making! I also repeat again that the American president is George W. Bush, twice selected, if not elected.
If Barack Obama sticks to the issues, America will change the channel. We want our Politics in 30-second soundbites, humorous if possible, and not during mealtime. Since someone is eating every minute of the day, that becomes an impossible parameter. Thank God for Cable and its 24-7 repetitions!
Hell, even among Bloggers, Tabacco stands almost alone when it comes to explaining Why and HOW! Most Talking Heads just make assertions, and you are supposed to accept those assertions because that particular Talking Head with accepted credibility says so (Lou Dobbs, are you reading this?) Tabacco explains everything ad nauseam. If I make exceptions to that rule, pretty soon I’ll be like most other Bloggers.
Now we come to the piece-de-resistance:
Every Politico, even John McCain and George W., gives lip-service to “Education”. But let’s see if that lip service makes practical sense. We already know it has very little application in practice when it comes to useful legislation passed. In a “democracy”, an intelligent and informed electorate is essential to achieve universal and fair laws and actions. And an intelligent and informed electorate would be advisable and sought after if those politicos wanted universal and fair laws and actions.
Therefore an intelligent and informed electorate in a “democracy” is counterproductive, despite the lip-service. Politicos want to do what Politicos want to do. The last thing they want is TO HAVE TO LISTEN to the electorate! They have neither respect nor use for the electorate once Election Day is passed. So when Hillary, Barack, John or George expounds on Education or No Child Left Behind, remember they don’t mean it. It’s only Political Propaganda and Election Day Electioneering! An intelligent and informed electorate would see through their machinations and vote against their self-serving Free Trade Agreements, Outsourcing, Eminent Domain, regressive Taxes, Trickle-Down Economics and Supply-Side statistics.
Let’s analyze the American Educational Subjects, one-by-one.
Physics
(You can’t do much to corrupt these two even if you wanted to)
English: Surprise! If Americans don’t speak English all that well, then why not Outsource to the Filipinos, Chinese or the Indians, whose English is superior even to the Brits!
History: American History, as taught in school, is a joke. The Indians know it, the Mexicans know it, the witches know it, the Muslims know it, the Germans know it, the Japanese know it, the Italians know it, the Jews know it, the Southerners know it, and certainly Blacks know it. Why? To cover up the Evils perpetrated by White Have-Mores throughout our history against all minority groups. Read the Constitution about “3/5 of all other persons” if you doubt it! You might also read my Post about how we STOLE HAWAII for the Dole family. You won’t find that in history texts.
Political Science: (reread “History” above)
Ethics: No longer taught in schools except under the Religion banner. And we already know how unethical so-called “religious leaders” can be.
Biology: “Intelligent Design” is already the Law in some States. Whenever Science has conflicted with Religion, when has Religion been Correct? NEVER! Intelligent Design is a lot of things, but Science is NOT one of them. The GOP caters to the Rapture-Right to gain their vocal support, their donations, and their votes. Bush, Cheney & McCain don’t really believe that crap: Intelligent Design as Science!
Under our own volition, Americans are obsessed with Trivial Pursuit and getting high as often and as long as possible. (EFFECT)
We are desensitized to the unthinkable and either unable or unwilling to analyze situations. We rely on Politicos, the Media and our Religious leaders to do our thinking for us. (EFFECT)
Our Political, Media, Business & Religious leaders have conspired to undermine democracy and accentuate the differences between the Have-Mores and the Have-Nots by keeping the Electorate ignorant, under-educated and Trivial Pursuit obsessed. The conditions are not unlike those that existed in the 19th century between the White Slave owners and their Black slaves in the Confederacy. (CAUSE)
While suppressing my natural tendencies toward verbosity and overanalyzing, I have laid out both How and Why the Powers-That-Be have reduced America to a 3rd World country, outsmarted the public, and beaten us in the Class War, which most of us are unaware even exists. What is even worse, they aren’t through beating us like a rug and playing us like a Baldwin piano. They haven’t yet dared pose the Final Solution:
That little Deception will undoubtedly be John McCain’s crowning glory when and if he becomes president. (CAUSE)
Americans’ preference for “OFFSHORE DRILLING” by 69% proves that a desperate people will grab at any straw that is first dipped in a Strawberry Milk Shake before it is waved under your nose like perfume. (EFFECT)

Tabacco: I consider myself both a funnel and a filter. I funnel information, not readily available on the Mass Media, which is ignored and/or suppressed. I filter out the irrelevancies and trivialities to save both the time and effort of my Readers and bring consternation to the enemies of Truth & Fairness!
