Christian Hypocrite

Of The Year Award

Jointly: To

Billionaires,

Pat Robertson &

Jerry Falwell -

There Must Be Lots

Of Camels In

Heaven Or Needles

Must Be A Lot bigger

These Days! - RI8

Jerry Falwell & Pat Robertson may be neither Good nor Samaritans, and they certainly do not attempt to live their lives according to the precepts of Jesus Christ. But they have done Henry Ford and the Sultan of Brunei proud. And in the process, they have made getting through the eye of needles a darn sight easier for both dromedaries and camels.

It is because of their unwavering attention to profit and their undying and unwavering solicitude for dromedaries everywhere that Tabacco bestows this Lifetime Achievement Award on the deserving shoulders of Messieurs Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson.

In addition to their “animal rights” work, they have found time to persecute homosexuals, which has greatly contributed to their humongous bank accounts. I know that Pat and Jerry would like to give credit for this Award to Hypocrites and Quasi-Religious types everywhere, particularly those of the Rapture Right.

So without further embarrassment or ado, Tabacco inducts both

'Age-Defying' Shake Stirs Questions About Business Practices And Nonprofit Status

By Bill Sizemore

NORFOLK -- While controversy boils over Pat Robertson's call for the assassination of Venezuela's president this week, another controversy is bubbling about one of his ventures.

Seems his "age-defying" diet shake isn't just a philanthropic endeavor anymore. The televangelist is looking to turn a profit from it.

After four years of touting the benefits of his weight-loss shake via his nonprofit Christian Broadcasting Network and sending the recipe to any viewer who asked for it, Robertson has licensed the shake for national distribution by General Nutrition Corp., a Pittsburgh-based health-food chain.

Robertson says he is exercising his right to engage in a business venture, but an evangelical watchdog group says he is abusing his nonprofit status. Moreover, a Texas bodybuilder who thought he was going to be Robertson's Jared is quite publicly angry that he's not.

Pat Robertson Estimated to be Worth $150-200 million!

"Robertson lives on the top of a Virginia mountain, in a huge mansion with a private airstrip. He owns the Ice Capades, a small hotel, diamond mines (in Zaire), a vitamin company (Kalo Vita) involved in a multi-level marketing scheme along the lines of Amway, and until recently, International Family Entertainment, parent company of the Family Channel (see below) -- all estimated to be worth between $150-200 million. How does a televangelist, who is supposedly involved in non-profit work, manage to create such a fortune for himself? One thing is known for sure, Robertson's numerous private business interests have at times pushed their expenses onto the tax-exempt, religious interests of CBN. For example, Robertson was caught using CBN money and equipment to aid his diamond mining operation -- a double good deal for Pat, seeing as he employed people in Zaire for ridiculously low wages, and managed to use CBN's infrastructure to cut costs even more. In looking at Robertson's businesses, one is struck by the constant use of non-profit, donor money to fund his schemes. (For documentation of this and more, see Rob Boston's book entitled The Most Dangerous Man in America?: Pat Robertson and the Rise of the Christian Coalition.)" -SOURCE

Thankful Dromedary, “One Hump Or Two? Thanks, Pat & Jerry, for all your assistance. I used to have 2 humps, but lost 1 trying to enter a needle’s eye. I don’t know if I could have squeezed through 1 more needle without you both.”

Tinky-Winky controversy

One of the Teletubbies, Tinky Winky, was the focus of a still hinted-at controversy in 1999 due to his carrying a bag that looks much like a woman's handbag (although he was first "outed" by the academic and cultural critic Andy Medhurst in a letter of July 1997 to The Face).

A February 1999 article in the National Liberty Journal, published by evangelical pastor Jerry Falwell, warned parents that Tinky could be a hidden homosexual symbol, saying "he is purple—the gay pride color, and his antenna is shaped like a triangle—the gay pride symbol."

A spokesman for Itsy Bitsy Entertainment Co., who licenses the characters in the United States, said it was just a magic bag. "The fact that he carries a magic bag doesn't make him gay. It's a children's show, folks. To think we would be putting sexual innuendo in a children's show is kind of outlandish."

In an incident reported in 2000, a girl's Tinky Winky toy reportedly said, "I got a gun". Kenn Viselman, then chairman of the Itsy Bitsy Entertainment Co., claimed the toy actually said "Again, Again."

Teletubbies: These Evil Child-Corrupters were banished to that Purgatory called “Hollywood” by one of our Honorees, Jerry Falwell – WAY TO GO, JER!

There is quite a lot of Q&A on the Internet about whether Jer is gay or not. I can’t say; but there are millions of Gays in America, who hope “It ain’t so!”

Tabacco: I consider myself both a funnel and a filter. I funnel information, not readily available on the Mass Media, which is ignored and/or suppressed. I filter out the irrelevancies and trivialities to save both the time and effort of my Readers and bring consternation to the enemies of Truth & Fairness! When you read Tabacco, if you don’t learn something NEW, I’ve wasted your time.
