God Gave Us Free Thought; If Bush Hears God, He Should Be Confined To St Elizabeths Hospital

Does Bush Talk With

God?

God gave us freedom of thought; if Bush hears God speaking, Bush should be confined to St Elizabeths Hospital.

God gave us the ability to think for ourselves and to act as we see fit, within certain parameters. Bush, who seems to think he knows better than God, tries to restrain our thoughts, confine our actions, and monitor whatever we do, write or say. Why do we permit it?

I, too, have heard the voice of God; he tells me that George W. Bush is faking it. God tells Bush not to fill his pockets with our money, not to fight against Affirmative Action, not to discriminate against Blacks in New Orleans, not to prevent the U. S. from negotiating lower drug prices for Medicare recipients, not to give tax breaks to the wealthy, not to go to War against the Iraqi people, and not to kill or commit genocide against Islamic women and children. But does Bush listen?

He reports to us that God told him to fill his pockets with our money, to fight against Affirmative Action, to discriminate against Blacks in New Orleans, to prevent the U. S. from negotiating lower drug prices for Medicare recipients, to give tax breaks to the wealthy, to go to War against the Iraqi people, and to kill or commit genocide against Islamic women and children.

George W. Bush is going against the will of God. George W. Bush listens only to George W. Bush. Any fool can say he speaks with God. If George W. Bush hears God’s voice, telling him to commit atrocities, then what are we saying about the life of Jesus Christ? If Bush truly hears the voice of God telling him to act this way, he should be confined to St. Elizabeths Hospital. If he doesn’t hear God’s voice telling him to commit these atrocities, he should be in Leavenworth.

Also, isn't there a Commandment about taking God's name in vain? Since we're talking about Commandments, I count at least five that George W. Bush has broken:

3.
"You shalt not swear falsely by the name of the Lord..." - This commandment is to never take the name of God in a vain oath.

4. "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy" (the version in Deuteronomy mentions "Keep" rather than "Remember")

6. "You shall not murder" - The Hebrew Bible makes a distinction between murdering and killing, and explicitly notes that murder is always a heinous sin, while killing is sometimes necessary, and in these cases just in the eyes of God. Thus, Jews take offense at translations which state "Thou shall not kill", which Jews hold to be immoral. The official doctrine of the Catholic Church and the beliefs of many Protestant Christians hold that this verse forbids abortion; in Judaism, most forms of abortion (where the mother's life is not in danger) are prohibited based on other sources.

8. "You shall not steal" (sometimes interpreted as kidnapping, since there are other injunctions against stealing property in the Bible).

9. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor"
(Remember the false allegations against John McCain in 2000 primaries and John Kerry in 2004 election)

Oh yes, God would definitely speak to George W. Bush. Bush is exactly the kind of man to whom God would entrust his Word.

Both George W. Bush and Tabacco claim to have heard God’s voice - the difference is I haven’t murdered, discriminated, suppressed, repressed and lied to the public in God's name; George W. Bush has!

Which seems to have more in common with George W. Bush to you?

Lansing Correctional Facility, Leavenworth, Kansas

Lansing Correctional Facility: The largest State of Kansas prison for maximum-, medium- and minimum-security prisoners.

Leavenworth has long been associated with prisons. Few are aware that there are actually four prison complexes within the Greater Leavenworth Area. (Tabacco: pick one, George – your choice!)

Whom does Bush really listen to – God or Adolf Hitler? Compare Bush to Jesus Christ, then you decide. Would God send a racist, murdering thief to be His emissary on earth? Does Bush belong in Heaven or in Leavenworth Prison?

Thanks to my Ohio cousin, Yvonne for this one:

CAR TO CAR

  • A driver is stuck in a traffic jam on the highway. Nothing is moving. Suddenly a man knocks on the window. The driver rolls down his window and asks, "What happened?"

  • "Terrorists kidnapped President Bush and are asking for a $10 million ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse him with gasoline and set him on fire. We are going from car to car to take up a collection"

The driver asks, "How much is everyone giving on average?"

  • "About a gallon."

I will publish all the funny, disgusting and insulting Bush jokes you send me.

Your ignorance and misinterpretation (along with every other “Christian”) concerning who Jesus actually was and what the Bible actually is speaking of are hilarious at best. Well, more like stupidity. Please get your facts straight concerning what you read and hear before spouting off and making yourself look like and idiot.

I find it quite humorous when some holy roller decides that their way is the only way. And just like all “Christians”, you feel the need to instill your own set of standards on the rest of the world (yes, just like a politician).

To Dennis:

I would love to discuss my "ignorance and misinterpretation concerning who Jesus actually was" and I will, just as soon as you say something concrete.

Your comments, like those of other Bush supporters are extremely vague and obtuse. At least I am specific with my "stupidity", whereas you express yours in "Code".

Show me specifically where my errors are so I can debate with you. I promise to publish your reply, provided you get specific. Innuendo is not what this blog is about.

For your information, I am not a "holy roller". I am not even an Episcopalian anymore. I have not attended Church on a regular basis since 1960. I don't know where you got your assumptions from - but they are DEAD WRONG!

What I attempt to do is show people how to think logically, not emotionally as you do. You might want to reply including your opinions on the following:

1- "Who Jesus actually was" 2- "What the Bible actually is speaking of" 3- "Get your facts straight" - Which facts are crooked?

These are your quotes. I ask that you explain them with details so that we all can appreciate your knowledge and intelligence. I wait with baited breath for your reply.

With anticipation,

- Tabacco
