Tabacco: When will our “Ostrich Head In The Sand” Media cease looking the other way when some politician makes a totally ridiculous statement! Every political analyst knows that what I’m about to say is true, but none will challenge any politician with that information. Is it any wonder that Americans are so gullible, misinformed and ignorant!
It makes you wonder how ABC could spend 40+ minutes out of an hour in that “Debate” grilling Obama about Rev. Wright and other nonconsequential trivia and NEVER broach the subject of Hillary’s “Obliteration of Iran” comment and its relationship to Israeli nuclear weapons!

Iran: Hillary Statement Too "Provocative"
UNITED NATIONS, May 1, 2008(AP) Iran strongly condemned presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton for threatening to attack and "totally obliterate" the country if it uses nuclear weapons.
Late Wednesday, Iran's deputy U.N. ambassador, Mehdi Danesh-Yazdi, called an April 22 statement on ABC television by the New York senator, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, "provocative, unwarranted and irresponsible" and "a flagrant violation" of the U.N. Charter.
Clinton was asked by ABC News' Chris Cuomo in an interview that aired on "Good Morning America" what she would do if she wins the White House and Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons, according to the ABC News Web site.
"The question was, 'If Iran were to launch a nuclear attack on Israel, what would our response be?' And I want the Iranians to know that if I'm president, we will attack Iran" to retaliate against an Iranian nuclear hit on Israel, Clinton said.
Tabacco: Hillary’s threat has two aims:
2 – Demonstrate to Jews with money to contribute how “COMMITTED TO ISRAEL” she really is.
She isn’t really speaking to the Iranians because Iran doesn’t have nukes today and, should they obtain them tomorrow, they’d have to be positively stupid to nuke Israel because Israel is perfectly capable of responding in kind without any US assistance.
Hillary’s Threat is therefore nothing more than propaganda during an election run!
Danesh-Yazdi's letter used a partial quote that did not mention an attack on Israel. It said Clinton "unwarrantedly and under erroneous and false pretexts threatened to use force against the Islamic Republic of Iran".
The Iranians sent the letter to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and asked that he circulate it to the Security Council.
The council has imposed three rounds of gradually tougher sanctions on Iran for refusing to suspend uranium enrichment. Iran insists it is enriching uranium to produce nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, but the U.S., key European nations and other countries suspect Tehran's real motive is to eventually produce nuclear weapons.
In the letter, Danesh-Yazdi said, "Iran is a leading nation in rejecting and opposing all kinds of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons". He added that Iran has repeatedly declared "that nuclear weapons as the most lethal and inhumane weapons have no place in the defense doctrine of the country".
Iran has also campaigned to make the Middle East a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone since 1974, he said.
"Moreover, I wish to reiterate my government's position that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no intention to attack any other nations", Danesh-Yazdi said. "Nonetheless ... Iran would not hesitate to act in self-defense to respond to any attack against the Iranian nation and to take appropriate defensive measures to protect itself" as authorized under the U.N. Charter.

The above story is OK so far as it goes; but where is the part about Israeli NUCLEAR WEAPONS? The AP is NOT STUPID. Tabacco would love to think that only Tabacco knows stuff like that, but my ego, while extraordinary as egos go, is not Hitleresque or myopic in nature. The difference, between me and the rest of the boys & girls in the 4th estate, is that Tabacco tells the unvarnished truth – they do NOT!

Mordechai Vanunu was a former Israeli nuclear technician, who blew the whistle on Israel's secret nuclear weapons program (WMDs) to the British press as an "act of conscience". He was employed at the Negev Nuclear Research Center, south of Dimona. Having fled Israel, he was captured by Israeli agents September 30, 1986, in Rome after being seduced, drugged and abducted back to Israel. (Sounds familiar, doesn't it?) He was tried in secret for treason and convicted. He served 18 years in prison, more than 11-1/2 of them in solitary confinement as a political prisoner. He was released April 21, 2004, but under very strict conditions, which include not being allowed to leave Israel, travel inside Israel to certain areas, or speak to foreigners. He violated those terms when he was interviewed by, among others, Amy Goodman*** of "Democracy Now" on World Link TV. I saw that interview. He said little and revealed even less.
Tabacco: If Vanunu were lying, fantasizing or just joking, no country, not even Israel, would have imprisoned him for 18 YEARS.

Tabacco: In the midst of all they lying done by Bob Gates, Bush’s nominee for Defense Secretary to replace Donald Rumsfeld, Gates let slip something we all knew but no US or Israeli governmental BigWig has ever uttered:
Tabacco: If a Bush nominee, a Republican and Secretary of Defense admits Israel has nuclear weapons, that’s good enough for Tabacco!
That still raises the issue of why Hillary Clinton, the MSM, the Democrats, the Republicans, and the Israeli government won’t admit or discuss what everybody else already knows!
If Israel has NUKES, which it denies and does not comply with Nuclear Proliferation Treaty – well that’s OK.
But if Arabs acquire NUKES to defend themselves against their sworn enemies, Israel and US capitalists, that’s a cause for preemptive war – even if there is no basis in fact.
That does not seem fair to Tabacco!
So, Hillary, answer the OPERATIVE QUESTION:

You ask a very provoking question that Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama would
be hardpressed to answer! The neo-con ideology of protecting Israel at all
costs has consciously or subconsciously pervaded American foreign policy.
America has an unhealthy favortism for Israel and bias against all the
Muslim countries surrounding Israel in the Middle East. In my opinion,
Israel is the greatest threat to Middle East peace, not Iran. Good post!
