How can everybody in MSM tell us how great “Meet The Press” is when it’s no different from most other Euphemistic, Misinformation News Sources in America! Tim Russert was obviously a nice guy and a Democrat, but he was no Walter Cronkite, and he certainly was No Edward R. Murrow or Joseph Welch! Russert saved his job and lied to us just like all the other Talking Heads, more by Omission than Commission, but still LIES.

Amy Goodman can’t tell the Absolute Truth. Lou Dobbs can’t tell the Absolute Truth. Jon Stewart can’t tell the Absolute Truth. Bill Maher can’t tell the Absolute Truth! Only a blogger, who can read between the lines and who does extensive Research, can tell the Absolute Truth. Even Lara Logan can only hint at the Absolute Truth. She has to protect her job too. I feel your pain, Lara!

I listen to the Mainstream Media about once a month. Hearing the Lies of Omission and the Lies of Commission reinvigorates me to keep on blogging. Someone has to tell the whole Absolute Truth to America. Americans are the only ones who don’t know what Absolute Truth is or at least are afraid to speak it publicly. And you think this is a democracy!

It is no longer safe in America to be unpopular. What’s worse is that it is no longer safe to speak the Absolute Truth. Rev. Wright learned that. Michelle Obama learned that. Bill Maher learned that. Phil Donahue learned that. Dan Rather learned that. And Lara Logan understands how to hint at Absolute Truth without actually saying it.

Muslim Women Kept from Camera at Obama Rally

Barack Obama’s campaign has apologized to two Muslim women who were barred from sitting behind Obama during his rally on Monday in Detroit. Obama campaign volunteers prevented Hebba Aref and Shimaa Abdelfadeel from sitting behind the podium because they were wearing traditional Muslim headscarves. A campaign volunteer told one of the women that because of the political climate it was not good for her to be seen on television or associated with Obama.

If Tabacco ever started getting 600,000 Hits a day like the Daily Kos, the MSM would gang up on me in repudiation. Some of those mentioned above would be forced to join in and echo those voices just as Obama was forced to repudiate the Absolute Truths of Rev. Wright and Michelle Obama was forced to recant her own Absolute Truth.

If you want to bring back Absolute Truth in the Media, drive my numbers to 6-figures a day. I won’t make any money, although that will be considered by some who would wish to control me, but Lou Dobbs, Amy Goodman, Bill Maher types will be able to get closer to Absolute Truth without risking their jobs. And at the very least, Lou Dobbs’ Viewers will know how far Lou is from telling the Absolute Truth. Now they think Lou is the best there is. How sad!



Tabacco: I consider myself both a funnel and a filter. I funnel information, not readily available on the Mass Media, which is ignored and/or suppressed. I filter out the irrelevancies and trivialities to save both the time and effort of my Readers and bring consternation to the enemies of Truth & Fairness! When you read Tabacco, if you don’t learn something NEW, I’ve wasted your time.

HOW TO FIX AMERICA!

Our current problems with Mainstream Media's reluctance to inform the public because of fear of the Bush administration and self-interest leaves us one alternative:

We must make the FCC a non-governmental, non-political agency. The president can manipulate, intimidate and orchestrate the Media's news stories as never before. This must cease!

The same is true of the Supreme Court. The president nominates Supreme Court Justices and other Judges, subject to the Advice & Consent of Congress. This too has proved untenable. Judges must not be elected. That reeks of politics. Justice should be blind but not biased. The ACLU is one private organization, which possesses the legal expertise to handle both nomination and appointments. But the ACLU has succumbed to graft, corruption and bias.

Is there another organization, which has the expertise, but not the political agenda, to nominate and appoint Justices and Judges? Yes! The American Bar Association. The Separation between Executive & Legislative branches is untenable. But the complete separation between Judiciary and the other two main branches of government has been eroded until it is nonexistent. This too must end.

And the word and the act of "recusing" oneself must be returned to America's political landscape. Too many politicians profit from their votes today. This too must end.

Building a 3rd or 4th relevant political party is both unnecessary and insufficient. So long as we have legal payola (Lobbying), one or two more political parties will have no effect on our polluted political system.

PS There are instances when "Privatization" is preferable to Nationalizing. These are two of them. Note that in neither instance is Profit directly a consideration. That should be the Rule:

When ethical, legal or political considerations take precedence, PRIVATIZE!

When Profit, Business and lots of Money are primary considerations, NATIONALIZE!

NOTHING MAKES ME SICKER THAN THIS!

I was attempting to watch 60 Minutes today, 8-10-08, but the 2nd story they did involved Israel and Iran and how dangerous Iran was, being about 2 years away from having a nuclear bomb. I turned it off and watched tennis doubles. CBS and all the other so-called News sources continue to PRETEND Israel does NOT have NUKES! If they lie to you, you can't trust them. That's why I turned 60 Minutes off.

Lots of Americans, most of whom haven't the foggiest notion about world affairs, think Israel does not have NUKES because nobody on TV says they have them. THAT IS A LIE OF OMISSION. If you are going to discuss Israel, Iran and "Iran's dangerous nuclear weapons programs", you'd better tell the Truth about Israel's NUKES and Mordechai Vanunu! If you lie to us about it, I WILL change the channel! TABACCO HATES HYPOCRISY!
