Physics Geek’s Illogic On “Outsourcing” –

Tabacco Responds To His So-Called Myths!

Half-Truths! Lies Of Omission!

After publishing an Article today, March 17, 2006
“Exporting America's Future - The Trouble With OUTSOURCING: It Won't Go Away, It Just Grows Bigger -RI10”
http://tabacco.blog-city.com/exporting_americas_future__the_trouble_with_outsourcing_it_w.htm
I did a “Find” at Blog-City on the term “Outsourcing” and discovered the following piece of Bill O’Reilly-type garbage:
“Common sense applied to outsourcing”
http://physicsgeek.blog-city.com/common_sense_applied_to_outsourcing.htm
Published originally April 2, 2004 – just one day late!

This “garbage’ (Use the French pronunciation please – “gar-baje’”) was posted by the Physics Geek.  “Physics” – I doubt seriously, however I do not question the term “Geek”.  Since he apparently is scientifically inclined, I wonder if he supports the Old School “Evolution” theory or the New School “Intelligent Design” also known as “Creationism In Drag” science?

The Physics Geek makes three assertions in his Post:

Myth #1: America is losing jobs.

Myth #2: The low unemployment rate excludes many discouraged workers.

Myth #3: Outsourcing will cause a net loss of 3.3 million jobs.

The following is the Comment I posted to his original Article:

PHYSICS GEEK "SPIN DOCTORING" EXPOSED!

"Fact: More Americans are employed than ever before."
EXPOSED: America lost more than 3,000,000 jobs during the "recession".  So 1,900,000 don’t account for over 1,000,000 fewer jobs than when Clinton left us in very good shape.  This is called "Selective Statistics/Cherry Picking/Lies of Omission".

"Fact: Unemployment is dropping, despite a surging labor force."
EXPOSED: I admit that the figures have always excluded unemployed once their benefits run out, even though they are still not working.  However, to give current figures (Sources, please!- I don't know you well enough to trust you) without stating that U.S. population has increased by millions since January, 2001, is called "Selective Statistics/Cherry Picking/ Lies of Omission" and does not include the growth in U.S. population figures.

"Fact: Outsourcing has little net impact, and represents less than 1 percent of gross job turnover."
EXPOSED: Of all the lies you told in this Post, this one is the worst.  On the personal front, I am an executive recruiter in the international field.  In 2000, under Clinton, I placed 15 applicants on jobs and earned $145,500.00 in fees (you will have to take my word on that; but if I were lying I wouldn't tell you what I am about to say next)

In 2001, I made zero placements and $0.00 in fees.
I also "fanned" in 2003.  Courtesy of George W. Bush.

But for the overview, McDonald's & Burger King jobs have flourished.  Those guys get paid by the hour.  Information-based jobs outsourced to India, Philippines etc. at one-third to one-fourth U.S. salary.  And the Americans, who had those jobs, are now working for $-thousands less than before.

In 2000, I placed a woman at $90K.  Her company closed its U.S. offices in 2002.  In 2002, she refused to go on an interview at $60K.  In 2005, I placed that same woman at $60K.  In fact, it was the same company she had declined to interview with in 2002.

The fellow, who took the job in 2002, left it in 2005.  He had made over $90K prior to that.

I have placed several candidates at lower salaries than they previously earned.  During Clinton years, salaries always went up, not down!

You use the Bill O'Reilly technique of selective statistics.  Unfortunately for you, I majored in mathematics in college.  I also took a course in Logic.  I highly recommend your taking a course in Logic yourself.  You obviously need it.

READERS:
Tabacco was not blogging last April 2nd.  I began this blog in August, 2005.  This is the sort of disingenuous double-talking QuasiCon illogic that persuaded me to begin blogging in the first place.  I’m not even sure if that blog is active anymore; but the Post is still there and I have responded.  I await the “Physics Geek’s” response!

PHYSICS GEEK FOUND! He's no longer at Blog-City. http://physicsgeek.mu.nu/

Hey, Physics Geek:

I just found your new location. I also just found your Post at Blog-City from 4/2/05: “Common sense applied to outsourcing”

I see you are now doing recipes and grammar. I, myself, have published Articles at Blog-City in both those disciplines. Keep up the good work.

Re your "Outsourcing" post, please visit: http://tabacco.blog-city.com/physics_geeks_illogic_on_outsourcing__tabacco_ responds_to_hi.htm to see what I have to say about your post.

Let's just say that I am sure you will find it interesting.

Incidentally, do you subscribe to "Evolution" or "Intelligent Design" scientific theory?

Regards,

PS My mistake. Physic Geek's post was actually dated April 2, 2004 NOT 2005
