Tabacco: The Bible warns us about “False Prophets”! Unfortunately most people can only remember one aphorism at a time. They remember that “for man to sleep with another man, as he sleeps with a woman, is an Abomination”, but forget that many other acts, such as EATING SWINE, are also Biblical Abominations. How many of you remember the former and forget the latter?
Picking and Choosing which Abominations to adhere to and which to ignore is in itself an Abomination. If you are a Homophobe, who married his sister-in-law and expects to “go to Heaven”, I expect that you will be disappointed. If you are a Homophobe, who eats swine and expects to “go to Heaven”, I expect that you will be disappointed also.
People should read their entire Bible more and listen to False Prophets less! Then they might not have so much free time for CHERRYPICKING! Tabacco speaks, not as a Prophet, false or true; nor do I speak to the nonbelievers. It is Tabacco’s opinion that everyone should have a Right to his or her own opinion without the intervention of False Prophets, True Prophets or the State passing Legislation to require them to do this or that, to think this or that because that is the BELIEF of some. Whatever happened to the Concept of MINDING ONE’S OWN BUSINESS! Whatever happened to the Concept of LIVE AND LET LIVE!
‘Maury’ and other “Audience Participation” shows, in which the audience is encouraged to DUMP on those that it perceives to be WRONG, are very dangerous and do irreparable harm to Society! Those TV shows give each individual the feeling that he or she has the “Right” to monitor, comment on, and amend the behavior of others. Who gave them the Right!
This is supposed to be America wherein everyone has the Right to the “Pursuit of Happiness” in his or her own way so long as no harm is done to anyone else. Of course, quasi-religious persons would argue that homosexuals, for instance, do harm to one another. The obvious response is that if both homosexuals are willing, there can be no exploitation of any kind. And his or her intrusion into a private matter is unsolicited, unwanted and unnecessary. You cannot climb your way into Heaven by making others miserable. Where in the Bible does it say that?
Incidentally Jesus Christ makes no comment on HOMOSEXUALITY whatsoever! There is the distinct possibility that Jesus himself was homosexual, and since he was not a hypocrite, he said nothing on the subject. Jesus was even noncommittal on the subject of abstinence by the clergy. Perhaps that has escaped the notice of Catholic hierarchy! Neither does he comment on ABORTION! Neither does he comment on Politics! Neither does he comment on Flag Burning! But Christ did say, “Love thy neighbor!” Some have expanded that to “Control they neighbor’s acts, words and deeds!” Preaching and Proselytizing are bad enough, but the disinterested may hang up their phones or shut their doors. When it comes to Legislation, that criminalizes certain acts, which are nobody else’s business.
Now, Quasi-Religious types are pursuing objectives, PROSCRIBED by Jesus Christ himself. I must ask them one of their own favorite questions, “What next?” These Control-Freaks, at various times in history, have instituted Prohibition, Slavery, Segregation, the burning of witches, the Union of Church & State, Capital Punishment, Pre-emptive Wars for Profit, Imperialism, Genocide, Disaster Capitalism – and these are just the tip of the iceberg!
We must fight back against the Corruption of the Right! For they are WRONG – DEAD WRONG! And they are dangerous!
