Tabacco: I received this email this am. I get them regularly from “Amazon”, “EBay”, banks, credit card companies, etc. etc. This one is easy; so are the emails from EBay. I don’t even have to check them out. The reason? Because Tabacco has neither an EBay nor an Amazon account. But below is the KEY to this Scam:

Yeah, and would you sell me the Brooklyn Bridge cheap! Tabacco and his Readers probably won’t fall for this “Phishing” expedition, but you may have an elderly relative or friend, who is trusting and gullible. Always warn new Internet users! These emails would not be so prolific and interminable if they did not work on a few people. As with all marketing ventures, you do not have to sell everybody; you can capture 1-2% and do just fine.

No reputable company is going to send you such an email. They already know your information and your email. Why would they ask you to confirm that information when they are contacting you? This type of information is only requested when you contact them. See how that works.

The email above is NOT from Amazon. Similar emails from EBay, banks etc. are not legitimate either. They are merely

PHISHING EXPEDITIONS!

One more thing: I have been so busy trying to keep abreast of all the political and financial Scams of the Neocons that I have been unable to totally research and publish about DirectBuy. Until I get around to it, please be advised:

AVOID "DIRECTBUY"

AT ALL COSTS!

Their advertising is marvelous and enticing. Their business practices are something else – but definitely neither marvelous nor enticing. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true.

Tabacco: I consider myself both a funnel and a filter. I funnel information, not readily available on the Mass Media, which is ignored and/or suppressed. I filter out the irrelevancies and trivialities to save both the time and effort of my Readers and bring consternation to the enemies of Truth & Fairness! When you read Tabacco, if you don’t learn something NEW, I’ve wasted your time.

Are these emails from (supposedly) Amazon, Ebay, and other major internet companies simply addressed Dear Member, or Dear Customer? That's your first clue. A good one. If your name is not used they are surely scams.
