Below is a Comment I received today (Sept. 9, 2007), made by an anonymous person, as you can easily ascertain from the name. On the original Post I declined to publish the Comment because it made no contribution. However that Comment forced me to reread my own Article. I must admit it impressed me so much I decided to republish it in its entirety, together with the worthless Comment by "Little Miss Muffit" and my personal reply to her. If this is the worst my detractors can come up with to demean my Post, I say, "Yes, your comment is unworthy, but what the hell!" I print it in the accompanying Comment1 below.

Religion, The Church, Atheists, Hypocrisy & Religious Profiteering

What is the richest, multinational, capitalist conglomerate in the world?  Answer: the Catholic Church.  Without the Church and Religion there would be no such thing as illicit sex, heresy or sin.   There would be much less guilt, much less psychotherapy, a helluvalot less war, racism and genocide.  We would still have marriage because we would still have jealousy and pride of ownership.  However fornication would definitely not be on the books. We would still have the greedy, but fewer of them since there would be no Church leaders with their hands in the Collection basket.  There would be a whole lot less hypocrisy and government oversight into your bedroom.  I still believe the laws against incest would exist without Religion and Church.  Demagogues would be an endangered species.   Without Religion, there would be no Iraq War because there would have been no September 11th.  However we would still have morality, virtue and good manners.

All in all, I would love to live in a world without Religion, not God mind you, but a world without Religion, demagogues and George W. Bush.  Without Religion, George W. Bush could never have been elected.  Getting rid of Bush, in itself, is worth getting rid of Religion.  Plato had his Republic; Tabacco has his ‘World Without Religion’.  Now there is one problem with which I need some Reader input: what do we do with our Sunday mornings?

The skeptics will say that without Religion, mankind would sink to depths never envisioned.  Skeptics are always making statements like that.  Remember how they said that if we didn’t stop the Communists in North Korea and North Vietnam, that Asia would fall like dominoes?  Wrong!  They said NAFTA and CAFTA would make more jobs in America – they weren’t wrong; they were just lying on that one.  I say that mankind would reach new heights without Religion.  We have already scraped the bottom of man’s evils and treachery against his fellow man – with Religion.  Maybe it’s time to try something different.  Religion obviously does not work!  It never has.  Who would ever have hypothesized that Religion would make mankind worse, not better?  Tabacco, that’s who.  And there is more than enough evidence to support that hypothesis.  We’ve just ignored it for thousands of years.  If we don’t pay attention to that Truth now, we never will.

Churches have always been seats of Anti-Learning and Disinformation, dedicated to scaring the holy bejesus out of you, not informing you or encouraging you to think.  The “Tree of Knowledge”, in the Bible, was NOT WRITTEN BY THE HAND OF GOD, but by the hand of man.  If God wanted us to remain ignorant, he would have given us the brain of a hyena and be done with it.  Mozart was not given his musical acumen to become a bricklayer.  Since mankind was blessed with superior intelligence, it is a waste of a “gift” to remain ignorant.

In the film about evolution and the Scopes trial, ‘Inherit The Wind’, Spencer Tracy as Defense Attorney Drummond questions Fredric March as creationist Brady:

Plato’s Republic has never existed, and Tabacco’s World Without Religion won’t either.  First you have the capitalists!  They certainly won’t let me do away with their biggest buying season – Christmas!  The Religious Profiteers won’t support me because, without the Church, they might actually have to do some work.  Whewwwwww, gainful employment?  What an awful idea!

There are hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and other Arabs, who would support me, except they are now dead and, having been Muslims, probably wouldn’t have supported me even if they knew they were going to die.  That’s a terrible indictment of Religious people, be they Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu or whatever.  If we were analyzing any group except Religious people, we would rightfully call anyone with that mindset “INSANE”!  But we can’t say that about Church-going Christians or Mosque-going Muslims.  We have to bite our tongues and pretend that insane behavior is not insane behavior.  We have to pretend that if you call yourself a Christian or a Muslim or a Jew, that somehow you are better than those, who call themselves “Atheists”.  Well, when was the last time an Atheist tried to tell you whom you could love, what you can and cannot do with your own body, where you may or may not work, live or play, and whom you may not marry?  When was the last time an Atheist tried to run your life?  Atheists may be wrong about their primary conclusion, but they seem to be much better human beings without Religion than others are with Religion.  Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to have more Atheists.  Things certainly couldn’t get any worse.  Atheists tend to mind their own business; Christians ALWAYS tend to mind everybody else’s business.  I would prefer an Atheist in the White House to a Texas Evangelical any day.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word “Christians” is Jim Jones and The People’s Temple of Jonestown, Guyana.  You remember those half-wits, who committed virtual suicide because Jones said, “Let’s do it”.  The second thing that comes to mind is that moronic Cult that committed actual suicide so they could get on that Space Ship to heaven.  There may be more gullible people on earth than religious zealots, but I swear I don’t know who they could be.

The Book of Ruth barely made the cut to be included in the Anthology, known as the Holy Bible.  That’s right, folks, lots of submissions were rejected – including the Gospel of Judas.  They took a vote, after lengthy, heated discussions, and decided which Gospels were in and which Gospels were out.  I won’t bore you with a list of those that didn’t make the cut here (OK I’m working on a separate Post for that about – that’s right, the Gospel of Judas).  Religious apologists will say the reason the Gospel of Judas and the other ‘losers’ did not make the cut is because God wanted it that way.  That’s the same crap they use to “explain” why they do or don’t do everything.  It must be nice to have the same excuse for everything, “The Bible says it’s an abomination” or “God wants it that way”.  “And by the way, if you question what we say, you go straight to hell!”  End of conversation.

Remember they want you ignorant, unthinking and depositing that tithe in the Collection Basket on Sundays.  At the very least, if Jesus Christ saw that Collection Basket (a Plate wasn’t big enough) in “my Father’s temple”, he would throw it and you out on the street.

Tabacco doesn’t hold Christians up to Tabacco’s standards.  That wouldn’t be fair.  I hold them up to their own standards.  And Christians are wantonly deficient under their own rules of behavior.

When reading Lewis Carroll’s “Alice In Wonderland” to your prepubescent tykes, do you really expect them to understand the “Allegory” contained therein.  So why would you expect them to understand Biblical parables as parables, not meant to be taken literally.  There are adults, reading this blog, who do not understand the differences among allegory, parable, fable, metaphor and satire.

Now ask your little tykes to read the above-listed definitions; explanations are unnecessary, just see if they can read them.  They can’t?  Well then how would you expect them to understand that Eve really wasn’t derived from Adam’s rib?  How about the fact that there were no ‘original’ Adam and Eve; else how would you explain how Cain, (who slew his brother Able) and was now the only available male on earth, was able to find an available female, who was not his own genetic sister?  Explain that one if you can.  How do you expect your 4 or 5 year-old to understand that Jonah was not really swallowed by a whale?  As a matter of fact, do you understand it?

We start them off with “Once upon a time”, Aesop’s Fables, Brer Rabbit and Hans Christian Anderson.  We throw in “They lived happily ever after”.  Let’s not forget Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.  And you wonder why your teenage and adult children are so gullible, ignorant and easily influenced by George W. Bush.  With the start you gave them, it’s a wonder they are still living.  Now throw in TV’s version of the Bible: Reality shows, Jerry Springer, Maury, commercials, etc. etc., and it’s no wonder Americans are the dumbest people on earth.  How could they be otherwise!

Lots of children cannot even handle the death of Bambi!

Just maybe you should wait a few years before indoctrinating your little ones with Biblical parables, Santa Claus and Jerry Springer – how about age 30?

Oh, and by the way, Lewis Carroll the author of “Alice In Wonderland” was sexually attracted to little girls – that’s called pedophilia.  That really doesn’t have much to do with religious hypocrisy, but I thought I’d throw that one in for free for the anti-pedophile lobby, who read “Alice” to their little girls.

There are 6 references in the Bible to homosexuality.  That’s right – 6!  It seems more like 6,000, doesn’t it?  There are zero – that’s 0 references to abortion!  The Holy Bible is a mammoth tome.  Just try and read it cover-to-cover one evening if you doubt me.  Yet all the Rapture Right talks about are homosexuality and abortion – homosexuality and abortion – homosexuality and abortion!  Every religious movement, every proposed law, every Constitutional Amendment, every local proposition of moral content concerns only 2 subjects – homosexuality and abortion.  Why can’t the Rapture Right understand the unbalanced perspective in this narrow outlook!  It makes you wonder if these people ever read the Bible, or if they do, do they make any connection between what they read and reality.  It’s the same as if I read the life of Winston Churchill and then wrote a synopsis of Adolf Hitler.  Hypocrisy is never far from the Church.

Even more hypocritical is that these allegedly all-knowing Christians usually use the King James Version of the Bible.  Allow me to quote to you what was said by the common folk of 17th Century England:

That’s right!  The people, who hate homosexuals so much, use as their only source of information the Bible, which bears the name of Britain’s unequivocal homosexual king!

Finally, what is the difference between Greek mythology and Christian dogma (if you exclude monotheism)?  Most Americans accept one and smile dismissively at the other.  Give up?  Well, I don’t know what the difference is either; but if someone out there in Religiosity land knows a relevant difference, please advise the writer and Readers of this blog.  We would all love to know.


Illicit Sex & Religion

But enough about Religious zealots.  Let’s turn the page and talk about illicit sex.  That ought to perk everybody up.  The great thing about illicit sex is that it’s almost never boring – sorry folks, but marriage is the most boring institution ever to blight the mind of mankind.  Who can get horny for long over having sex with one’s legal mate?  Talk about ruining a wet dream.  Men only get married to stake out their claim – jealousy and fear are their motivation!  Women only get married to secure an income for their future offspring.  Why else would any woman marry?  OK, it makes lusting after Fabio, Will Smith or Brad Pitt more dangerous and exciting.  But other than that, I can’t see one good reason for a woman to give up her autonomy, self-reliance and good name to follow, serve and obey some jerk, who thinks he’s the boss because of his anatomical plumbing.  But then I’ve always thought that women had a death wish.  If you are lonely, get a dog!

Sex and Religion are as interdependent as bacon and eggs.  Now who could ruin Sex the way the Church does?  First, you have to be married; second, you have to be procreating, not having fun, and finally, enjoyment is out of the question.  Well at least cats and dogs don’t have preachers.  They can enjoy their sex without all the guilt and demagoguery.

I think most people marry out of fear: fear of being alone, fear of being an old maid, fear of being different, fear of being odd man out.  Fear is a pitiful excuse to get married.

But cheating on your wife, your girlfriend or doing the horizontal hump with the wife or girlfriend of your best friend or your own brother certainly raises the ante.  And just think of the bragging rights for homosexual men, who abduct some unsuspecting woman’s husband.  What a coup that is!  The sex is not nearly as important as the bragging that goes with it – especially when they go on ‘Springer’ or ‘Maury’ and flaunt it in the faces of these women, who are without any self-respect whatsoever.  What people won’t do for their 15 minutes of fame!

For years now I’ve heard the propaganda about how the primary goal of men is to perpetuate their lineage with as many offspring as they can manage – hogwash.  If a guy has sex with a female, not his wife or betrothed, he does it for the sex, to prove his sexual attractiveness, and the bragging rights, not to achieve eternity.  When a man dies, he dies.  Whatever you say, men do not live through their sons once they, themselves, are dead.  When you’re dead, you’re dead!  And I guarantee you that those guys, who can function without Viagra, are not in that condition because they have baby thoughts.

Question: What do pedophilia, incest, fornication, pornography, bestiality, and homosexuality all have in common?  If you answered, “Perversion”, that’s only your opinion.  Many would disagree with you.  My answer is, “Danger & Excitement”.  None of these functions lead to boring sex.  Some or all of them may disgust and offend you, but even the contemplation of these acts will not bore you.  If you prefer to be bored, try marriage to the same person for 40 to 50 years.  I can imagine what those of you, who have been married since Day 1, must be thinking.  But answer truthfully if you can.  Do you really lust after your mate anymore?  How many years ago did that sexual heat end?  What you now have legally is “a marriage”; what you now have realistically is “an enduring friendship”.  Not all LTRs are sexual or physically passionate.  Let’s stop pretending that they are.

Speaking of good illicit sex, nothing is a better aphrodisiac than Guilt.  Guilt allows you to know that the Sex was great.  It makes you relive, not only the act, but the accompanying negative feelings, again reinforcing that what you have done may be illicit, but it was certainly worthwhile.  OK, so the Church is not all bad!

Remember, the easier it is to get Sex and the more acceptable that Sex is, the less enjoyable it becomes.  And you wonder why TV football, baseball, basketball, weekend golf, hockey etc. are so popular with married guys?  Legal Sex plus a nagging wife is enough to drive any married man to TV 24/7.  Even Springer or the news is preferable to spending a romantic evening with the same oh same oh.

If you’re a husband, ask yourself if you ever saw the old lady in curlers, cold cream and a frock that would embarrass your grandmother before you married her.  She’s not trying to turn you on; she’s trying to turn you off.  Pleasing your id is much less important to her than seducing the mailman or impressing her gal friends.  The only reason she keeps you around is for the regular paychecks.  And when you do get some, whom is she thinking about while you are doing it?  Is it you or is it Fabio?  And if she still makes noise while you are performing, rent a copy of “When Harry Met Sally” and watch the restaurant scene.


The Chicken Or The Egg? 

Why are so many pedophiles priests, Boy Scout leaders, teachers, playground directors and other functionaries, who by definition come in contact with children?

Why are most beautiful females usually surrounded by horny males and lesbians in heat?

Why are most handsome males usually attended by fawning hetero females and gays in heat?

Why are the Greedy usually found where there is an opportunity to make a financial killing as in Churches with large, financially solvent congregations?

Why do male dogs stalk female dogs in heat and not the female dogs, which have been spayed?

All these questions have basically the same answer.  Boy Scouts do NOT create pedophiles.  Pedophiles are attracted to Boy Scouts just as male dogs are attracted to female dogs in heat.  Catholic priests, who pursue boys or girls for sexual gratification, are already pedophiles by nature, if not by experience.  Their vows of abstinence have little to do with their urges.  If a wolf is circling the hen house, you can be certain he’s not there to protect the hens – he’s looking for a meal!  When folks walk into KFC, they are usually hungry.  People rarely become rich by accident or by obeying the laws of morality and good manners.

Those prepubescent kids, who end up in the sack with more than one horny adult or other juvenile, are not innocent.  Many very young children are already sexually active and on the prowl.  Remember that White girl, who went west with the Black man; well, folks, she didn’t go with him to show him the error of his ways.  She was sexually motivated to go along.  The same was true of Patty Hearst; remember her. 


Location, Location, Location!

Sometimes it’s the child, who knowingly initiates the sexual liaison.  The law, which states that no minor can give his or her consent to sex with an adult, is the law, not nature.  Not all States have the same law.  In some U. S. locations, the age of consent is as low as 15.  Some States have determined the age of consent to be 18.  So in truth it depends on which State the event occurs in, rather than the actual age of the minor.  Some even demeaned Bill Clinton because of Monica Lewinsky, who was over 21 and legal in all States and the District of Columbia.  They referred to her as if she were 14.  Good people are often hypocrites. 

Aside from capital murder, there are few hard and fast rules.  Even capital murder is legal if you wear a U.S. military uniform.  How many “friendly fire” incidents in our military were actually MURDER, not accidental?  Think about it!  What better opportunity will anyone ever get to permanently eliminate an enemy without having to pay retribution! 

The military and the officers of the law – the police are always shooting Blacks.  It’s open season on Negroes.  If they are tried, they are usually acquitted by White juries.  They won’t permit Blacks on those juries if at all possible.  But they also have the option of a Non-Jury trial.  Now what elected Judge is going to convict a Cop for killing a Black man?  If the Judge is about to retire and has no plans to run again, maybe!  But in that case, he wouldn’t have been selected to handle the case in the first place.


Uniqueness Of Mankind

There is a very interesting comment by Jodi Foster in the film, “Contact”.  The film depicts the alleged contact between earth and another race of intelligent beings on another planet.  Religious types are strongly concerned with the whole affair.  It even comes down to not permitting an Agnostic to make the voyage to the other planet because most people on earth believe in God.  After a sabotage of the original vehicle by a Religious Fanatic, the Agnostic (Foster) gets to make the trip anyway.  This is a very interesting film.  IMHO it’s the most instructive and intelligent film about extraterrestrials ever made.  My apologies to E.T.

To paraphrase Foster’s character, Dr. Eleanor Arroway, in “Contact”, Arroway asks a young tourist at the SETI (Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence – yes, there is such an organization), “What do you think about it?”

The youngster has no opinion formed as yet.

You mean this has happened before!  As a member in good standing of the superior male sex, I refuse to discuss this anomaly any further.  Did anybody check her for male hormones?  Maybe she’s a transsexual!  She’s probably taking Human Growth Hormone or some other steroid. I’ll bet she has to shave her face twice a day.

Rule: Any man, who gets beat by Michelle Wie in any round, is required to wear a ladies’ dress!  And these guys call golf a Sport! Huh!  This proves it isn’t.  Yeah, females can win in billiards or shooting free throws.  Those don’t require strength, but steadiness.  But no woman can beat any man in a “real” sport.  No woman!  Everybody knows that – even women.  Hell, she’s not even a dyke!

Derivation of “Negro”

I researched this about 35 years ago.  I refuse to do it again.  But here goes.  It seems that while “Negro” slaves were playing tricks on Massa by imbedding code in Spirituals, Massa was playing a few tricks of his own.  Apparently in Greek, the letters ‘c’ and ‘g’ are somewhat interchangeable.  If you replace the ‘g’ in Negro with a ‘c’, you get Necro as in necrophilia.  It seems that Massa’s joke was that Negroes were ‘dead’ people.  Now of course not every White Southerner nor every slave owner was aware of this little ‘joke’, but the people (I use that word in its broadest sense), who invented the term “Negro”, did.  And that’s all that matters.

Just as young Blacks today refer to each other in an endearing manner as “Nigga”, and homosexuals call each other “Miss Thang” or “fag” or “Mary”, I use the term “Negro”, despite its insulting origins, and in so doing, disarm its negative connotations and turn a pejorative into an exalter.  May God bless Lenny Bruce!

The new brain trust at the White House got a comedian to imitate and ridicule Bush in a “joint press conference”.  They know that if you poke fun at yourself, others will cease to point out those foibles.  It worked for Blacks and homosexuals, and it works for Bush.  Very clever those QuasiCons in the Republican Party to borrow from homosexuals that way – I wonder why Karl Rove didn’t think of it first.  I guess the next trick is for Rove to appear at a press conference, wearing a dress.

You just try to remove George W. Bush and his Klan from political power and you will be arrested for sedition!  How can that be when the Declaration is so succinct about our Right?

Have you ever heard of the Monroe Doctrine?  Take my word for it; it does exist and is still in force.

What did President Ronald Reagan do about it?  Did he invoke the Monroe Doctrine and rush to the aid of the Argentines?  Hell no! He supported the Brits, who didn’t need Uncle Sam to recover their ill-gotten gains.  Uncle felt a lot differently in 1776.  But then again, that wasn’t about the Argentines – that was about us.  See how that works?  What’s good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander.  And do as I say, not as I do!


Straight-Up Hypocrisy

Bradley Whitford, Actor on “The West Wing”, commenting on ‘Real Time With Bill Maher’ May 5, 2006: “It’s amazing how our definitions are so inverted.  You can show someone on ‘The West Wing’ getting shot.”

Bill Maher: “You got shot!”

Whitford: “I got shot.  And you can show a semen-splattered corpse, but you can’t show a baby nursing.  Our definition of ‘profanity’ is the act of creation, and violence is entertainment.  It’s very strange, perverse..” (Interrupted by enthusiastic audience applause)

On the same show, Kim Campbell, Secretary General of Club of Madrid and former Canadian Prime Minister: “As far as same-sex relationships go, it’s OK as long as they’re totally irresponsible.  You want to start taking responsibility for one another and having a house or filing your taxes together, no that’s not on.  But only if you are totally irresponsible, then that’s OK, but no marriage.”

Bradley Whitford: “Where is the Christian Right on poverty?  The New Testament is a pamphlet on helping the poor.  Where is the president on poverty?  Where is the Republican Party on ensuring children, who are uninsured?  Where are you on the Death Penalty if Jesus died on a bogus death penalty rap?  It’s a complete inversion of Christian values.  We can all agree that this system (legal executions) is not working right now; it should be stopped immediately.  Is it administered equally?  No”

Bill Maher: “Yes, but didn’t Jesus also say, ‘Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s’?  He understood ‘Separation of Church & State’ better than this crowd in Washington does.


Finally, how can America be so dead-set against Quotas to redress 500 years of oppression, slavery, segregation, and total inequity toward Blacks, when for decades the official policy of the United States of America on immigration was to set Quotas for immigration based on country of origin, with European countries getting the lion’s share of the Quotas.
