I thought this was the most appropriate time for ALL OF US to re-read, remember and NEVER FORGET, the speech given by Willie Lynch a slave owner who over 300 years ago devised a plan to help keep Black people divided...

Gentlemen:

I greet you here on the bank of the James River in the year of our lord, one thousand seven hundred and twelve. First, I shall thank you, the gentlemen of the colony of Virginia, for bringing me here. I am here to help you solve some of your problems with slaves. Your invitation reached me in my modest plantation in the West Indies where I have experimented with some of the newest and still the oldest method for control of slaves. Ancient Rome would envy us if my program is implemented. As our boat sailed south on the James River, named for our illustrious KING JAMES, whose BIBLE we CHERISH, I saw enough to know that our problem is not unique. While Rome used cords or wood as crosses for standing human bodies along the old highways in great numbers, you are here using the tree and the rope on occasion.

I caught the whiff of a dead slave hanging from a tree a couple of miles back. You are losing valuable stock by hangings, you are having uprisings, slaves are running away, your crops are sometimes left in the fields too long for maximum profit, you suffer occasional fires, your animals are killed, Gentleman,...You know what your problems are; I do not need to elaborate. I am not here to enumerate your problems; I am here to introduce you to a method of solving them.

In my bag, I have a foolproof method for controlling your slaves. I guarantee every one of you that if installed it will control the slaves for at least three hundred years. My method is simple, any member of your family or any OVERSEER can use it.

I have outlined a number of differences among the slaves, and I take these differences and make them bigger. I use FEAR, DISTRUST, and ENVY for control purposes. These methods have worked on my modest plantation in the West Indies, and it will work throughout the SOUTH. Take this simple little list of differences and think about them. On the top of my list is " AGE " but it is only there because it starts with an "A"; The second is" COLOR " or shade; there is INTELLIGENCE, SIZE, SEX, SIZE OF PLANTATION, ATTITUDE of owner, whether the slaves live in the valley, on a hill, east or west, north, south, have fine or coarse hair, or is tall or short. Now that you have a list of differences, I shall give you an outline of action- but before that, I shall assure you that DISTRUST IS STRONGER THAN TRUST, AND ENVY IS STRONGER THAN ADULATION, RESPECT OR ADMIRATION.

The black slave, after receiving this indoctrination, shall carry on and will become self-refueling and self-generating for hundreds of years, maybe thousands.

Don't forget you must pitch the old black VS. the young black males, and the young black male against the old black male. You must use the dark skinned slaves VS. the light skin slaves. You must use the female VS the male, and the male VS, the female. You must always have your servants and OVERSEERS distrust all blacks, but it is necessary that your slaves trust and depend on us.

Gentlemen, these kits are your keys to control, use them. Never miss an opportunity. My plan is guaranteed, and the good thing about this plan is that if used intensely for one year the slave will remain perpetually distrustful.

The letter above is one of the major problems of the African-American race today. And with this knowledge we as a race can and will over come. So with this letter still in your mind I ask that you enlighten someone else and send this letter to as many brothers and sisters. We as a race must start somewhere in learning our problems what better place than the document that started the destruction of our MOST POWERFUL RACE!!!

How can you implement this letter into a classroom of black and white students? Without loosing your job?

Teacher in Need:

First ask your superiors can you do it. If they waffle or decline, ask them "Why?". Whatever their response to that, it would be both insufficient and an evasion.

I think a mixed class is perfect for a discussion of this issue. In 1954 or 1955 I was the only Black student to speak on the 1954 Supreme Court decision (Brown vs. Board of Ed.). The White students had no problem commenting, but the other Black students could not sink down far enough into their chairs with embarrassment. Isn’t that strange? The Black students, not the Whites, were embarrassed!

Please note that a White teacher brought up the subject in a majority White classroom, and as far as I know, there were no repercussions for her. Have we gone backwards since '54?

I would love to know the outcome of your presentation to your superiors. Remember there is no good reason not to bring it up. If you get the go-ahead, I just hope some of your Black students will volunteer to speak on the subject.

If you are denied totally, I would bring in a copy of the US Constitution and begin reading the section about “3/5 of a person”. I cannot see how any board could possibly fire any teacher for reading aloud to the class the US Constitution! The Bible, maybe; but the Constitution, no way. After all, for Whites in this country the Constitution is 2nd only to the Bible.

Euphemism and Silence are both LIES! The former is a lie of commission; the latter is a lie of omission.

Anonymous sent me a Comment, which I decline to publish. Tabacco publishes fact, logic and persuasive scenarios, not self-serving propaganda. Next Anonymous will write that there was no “Holocaust”, using Ahmadinejad as his source or there was no brutality during slavery, using Margaret Mitchell as his source.

But he suggested I “look it up”. I did! I typed “Willie Lynch letter+fraud” into my web browser. What I found was unsubstantiated, unpersuasive and unreferenced assertions, also known as propaganda. When you rely on YouTube as your primary historical reference, you are treading in deep doodoo.

The upside of the Internet is that anybody and everybody can publish there! The downside of the Internet is that anybody and everybody can publish there! Since that is the case, you must have a modicum of common sense, if not a bevy of IQ points, before you begin any search lest you mistake propaganda for education as “Anonymous” has done.

I love it when undereducated, bigoted “anonymous” individuals attempt to mislead me with their scurrilous inventions and baseless references. Sorry, guys! I have enough IQ points to see right through disingenuous lies. I suggest you rub your two IQ points together and see if you can start a fire!

1- The Willie Lynch letter was dated 1712, not 2005! The slave owners of 1712 had no need to be clever, anonymous like you, or worry about blacks reading it.

2- False letters and false words, attributed erroneously to people of import, had not yet been invented in 1712.

3- There is a lot of false propaganda on the Internet, but it is without support, merit or reputable sources. Any Redneck can write on the Internet. Just look at yourself as a prime example! Anyone can write on YouTube - fortunately Tabacco prescreens Comments before they reach the Public!

4- Were you born in 1712? If not, then you must supply PROOF that it was a scam, not I who must prove it isn't. But my sources are infinitely better than yours. Really - YouTube! Give me a break!

5- American history books do not even reference the Willie Lynch letter, which is an indictment of American history books, not the Willie Lynch letter. According to those Tomes, George Washington Carver is the ONLY black person of note who ever lived. You forgot to include that argument.

6- I knew about the Willie Lynch letter before you were born and certainly before there was an Internet.

7- “Stupid Pet Tricks” generally work best on stupid pets or ignorant Rednecks like you. If you want to deceive Tabacco, you’d better have a better brand of ammunition and better sources with references.

I accidentally erased your Comment before I had a chance to read it through. However, I never intended to publish your bilge. My retort to that bilge however is published here because I explain my thinking whereas you do not explain either your parroting or your quasi references.
