Tabacco: If you still believe in honest politicians in this money-driven system surviving to win Major Elective Office, then you and others of your ilk are the primary reason why our government is manned by self-serving, bribe-taking Demagogues.
To accomplish No. 1, politicians, in cahoots with the Supreme Court, have cleared the path to LEGALIZED BRIBERY by instituting and legitimizing LOBBYING! This guarantees that only those with Big Money will rule! That means Have-Mores and Corporate America! We the People cannot compete in bribing our Public Officials.
Of course we still outnumber the Elite, but that too has been undermined. Racists, Bigots, Religious Fanatics, and those of minimal intellect and education are stampeded to the Republican tent because they mistakenly consider that SOCIAL ISSUES take precedence over their own ECONOMIC BEST INTERESTS or that Issues, which benefit them like Single-Payer or a credible Public Option Health Care Reform, are either dangerous to them or not in their best interests! Deceiving the uneducated is not a difficult trick!
Ask yourself how anyone could conclude that ANY OPTION to FOR PROFIT INSURANCE would be to his or her detriment, and you see how easy a road Demagogues travel.
Since we cannot buy our politicians, that leaves only Option No. 2: Threatening DEFEAT AT THE POLLS!
However even that threat is hollow! If we turn out Republicans, we turn in Democrats. If we turn out Democrats, we turn in Republicans. This is my “Political Ping-Pong” Dilemma. It would work if one side or the other actually sided with the People. However, Democrats also want to make Big Buck$ and only pretend to support us to get elected. And Republicans don’t even bother to pretend! So we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t!
The 2-Party System is a PLACEBO, A COMPLETE & UTTER FARCE!
However, if there were 3 viable political parties or 4 or 5, nothing would change. The Elite groups with all the money would simply bribe all 3, all 4 or all 5 political parties as they now bribe the Dems & GOPers.
We cannot TAKE BACK AMERICA by changing Parties - we must CHANGE THE SYSTEM! We must remove the influence of money from our politics or we shall always and forever LOSE THIS WAR!
We must pass an Amendment making Bribery of Public Officials by any name a CRIMINAL OFFENSE!
Yes we’re in a CLASS WAR and always have been. We were just too dumb to know it!
