I do not use antihistamines, antacids, sleeping pills, No Doz (though I did in 1959-60), recreational drugs, smoke cigarettes (though I did when I was 7 years old), pot or even aspirin. I do take one-a-day multiples and I belong to a double blind study (Select) wherein I take a vitamin E and a Selenium tablet daily or placebo. The study attempts to determine if Selenium and vitamin E can inhibit prostate cancer in men. Those are the only medicines or near- medicines I do take. I also keep a bottle of Vick's Chloraseptic, which is at least 10 years old and 90% full (so I don't know how effective it is anymore). I have been blessed with relatively good health up to this point (OK, I'm 63 years old) and don't have the usual list of degenerative illnesses that plague so many in our society. My older sister died of complications from diabetes at the age of 33. She was diagnosed at age 2.

So it is probably no surprise that I don't use Viagra, Cialis, Levitra or any other erectile dysfunction drug. ALL DRUGS HAVE SIDE EFFECTS! Let me repeat that once again,

 When the news came out that Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, and the other impotence drugs might cause blindness or lesser visual problems, guess who did not have to worry about it!

None of the manufacturers of these drugs are planning to take these drugs off the market. So you may be blind, but at least you will be able to function. It usually takes 20 years for a drug with bad side effects to be removed from the market by the FDA. That's after the drug makers claim the evidence is not convincing, 5-10 years worth of trials and denials by doctors employed by the drug's manufacturer, Congressional lobbying, and Congressionals sticking their heads in the sand. (If you were a Senator from North Carolina, would you be against cigarettes!)
