Police arrest BNP members with

record haul of explosives

It’s become an inevitable fact that Western media is biased against Islam and Muslims: every Muslim or Arab who reads the daily papers, watches TV coverage of daily events, or listens to the radio can clearly see that.

Last week, Robert Cottage and David Jackson, both former British National Party members, have been arrested for having a "master plan" to cause mayhem after a police recovered a "record haul" of chemicals used to make explosives.

Officers also recovered rocket launchers, BNP literature and a nuclear and biological suit. The police say this is the largest haul ever found at a house in Britain.

And while the world media's busy with the Muslims’ reaction to ignorant remarks made by a British official and Pope Benedict, the incident involving the arrests in Britain went unreported, except by local papers; Burnley Citizen and Pendle Today.

Cottage, charged under the Explosives Substances Act 1883 last Monday, reportedly drives disabled children to school.

His Peugeot car has been taken away for examination.

The police recovered 22 chemical components from his house.

On the other hand, David Jackson, 62, of Trent Road, Nelson, was charged with similar offences.

Christiana Buchanan, who appeared for the prosecution in Jackson's case, asserts that both men had "some kind of master plan".

However, the police tried to reassure neighbours that they had not discovered “a bomb making factory.”

Brian Parkinson, a local BNP councilor, distanced his party from Cottage, arguing, “It certainly wouldn't condone the sort of thing he is allegedly being connected with”.

UK and Worldwide media preferred to keep the focus on the protests and the anger of Muslims sparked initially by those who have been insensitive to them, making ignorant and silly remarks against their faith.

First it was Pope Benedict XVI, who angered the world's more than one billion Muslims in one of his recent lectures in which he cited a passage attacking Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The passage originally appeared in the “Dialogue Held With A Certain Persian, the Worthy Mouterizes, in Anakara of Galatia”, written in 1391 as an expression of the views of the Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus, saying;

“Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”

And second it was former foreign secretary Jack Straw, now Leader of the House of Commons. Straw said that the Muslim women’s veil was "a visible statement of separation and difference".

It was natural that Straw’s remarks, which demonstrate total ignorance of the Islamic culture and utter disrespect for its followers, to anger the world Muslims, not just the British Muslim Community.

Muslims obviously do not need advice from Mr. Straw. They don't need lessons in dress from him.

"He has once again shown that for Cabinet ministers it is open season on Muslims and Islam," said Nazreen Nawaz, of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.

There is an inherent media bias against Muslims and Arabs, that always tends to focus on unrest and anger in the Arab and Muslim communities rather than discussing the source of their anger, in most cases the West’s insistence not to respect their culture and sovereignty.

Tabacco: Here are some selected comments from the above sight. Compare these feelings to the Bush assessment re how Iraqis are willing to endure pain to gain freedom. See what the world thinks of Bush’s idea of freedom.

It is not bias; it is fact. Of the 34 conflicts in the world right now, Muslims are involved in 17. Of all the killing going on in the world right now, Muslims do the most. It is not bias when you are just reporting the facts.

I am not a Muslim or anything else but reason from Colorado. Ask yourself. How many of those 17 Muslim conflicts are the US involved in directly and indirectly?

AKA -Christian terrorists. There was a progman on here awhile ago, where this topic came up. You never, ever see the term "Christian Terrorists" and this article is no exception. I guess they must not exist..... Is there a bias towards Muslims? YES there is, I have seen it plain as day with my own eyes. There was a reporter here, (probably Jewish), who said that all Muslims are "lunatics". I was shocked by this comment. Yes, Bias, Muslims are clearly persecuted by western media. I think I remember his name. Yup, got him, works in Chicago now. Yeah, looks like a Jewish guy, Amerikan Jew. His name is Jewish background. So YES, there is a bias. This Jewish clown came straight out and told all his audience that the ME is all lunatics. Was good for his career! Maybe I should diss Muslims and The Prophet Mohammed, maybe then I could get a job .... Heh, I think not, I don't like living a life of lies. I would rather be dead.

Reason from Colorado - who is doing the killing? The Anglo white race is doing the killing in the Middle East. The other killings are just regional conflicts. Every action has a reaction, your army over stayed in Saudi from Gulf war 1 and 911 was the result (of course unjustified mass murder I accept). Who is killing who in Iraq and Afghanistan? Madrid and London bombs were the reaction to the white mans action.

Following is another Example regarding Iran's reaction to North Korea nuclear test; Iran did not support and did not condemn based on what they published on their GOV web sites, but BBC wrote: Only Iran, which also faces Security Council action over its failure to suspend its uranium enrichment programme - has voiced support for North Korea.

Hey careful terming the white race as terrorist. Don’t you know that it is only the white race has right to reign supreme and others are simply subservient subjects. Since hundreds of years they had been in killing spree to conquer and colonize the world over. So when the natives opposed they were killed like cats and in the name of criminals or insurgents. The freedom fighters throughout history were termed as terrorist by the occupying marauder forces. In the modern age by the great support of media controlled by them the white butchers have unleashed a tricky war against the people that opposes their heinous acts. Now Islam and Muslims are the only common enemy of the Christian/Hindu/Jewish world. Lately some of the Muslims countries have started to point finger at the wrong doing of the devil west resulting in media war against the Muslims in general. This trio power will leave no stone unturned to annihilate Muslims. History is the witness of the atrocities of the whites.

the veil...to the west a reminder of how wrong our civilization can be. Look at recent American history and the KKK. Ask any person of colour if they want to see a hooded person come upon them. It reminds us of a time that was not very nice and also our own stupidity. Should we carry this forward against Muslims? I think not. as 4 white terrorists..remember the IRA. They were heavily profiled by the SAS. It's not against Islam but against a faction within Islam just like it was not all Christians "defending the King James bible" in hoods. I have yet to meet a person who condemns all Muslims or Islamists. I have traveled quite a bit to some pretty obscure and poor countries and have come to believe that 99 percent of people are good and just want a good life. I just started reading Al and I'm not sure if it believes what it writes or is just trying to get circulation through confrontation like every other media outlet. look at thru whole prism not jus curnt evnts.

"Whites" don't commit terrorist acts, instead they have a monopoly on serial-killing, death by drink driving, domestic violence, murder, ual deviancy... and the list goes on. Has anyone asked how many in the "west" has been victim to these acts vs. terrorism. Take a good look at yourself.

The problem with Muslims has nothing to do with disrespect. The problem is that they are too emotional and their emotions tend to cloud their judgment. Someone once said that the advantage of the emotions is that they lead us astray. The burning of churches and the killing of a nun because of some quote by Pope Benedict XVI give credibility to the opinion that Islam and violence embrace.

It seems some people think terrorism is something "those people" only do. Imagine growing up in the United States, being surrounded by wealth, opportunity, and all that morality that the far right says it is instilling in America today. Now imagine pulling out a gun and killing all around you in a fit of 'oppressed rage" or some sht. What do Americans have to be that angry about? We had one incident in Canada as well, but come on. Eighteen incidents in the states of domestic terrorism and it's only early October. The chimp himself had to come out, like anyone listens, and "address' the problem. As usual, McCain also squawked about world events today and as usual, blamed it all on Clinton. Tell me again how these people in Washington live in a bubble.

It is ridiculous to believe that all Muslims or even the majority are associated with terrorism and even more insane to believe that western and white people do NOT have any association with terrorism. Revisit Northern Ireland, look at the conquistadors of the 15th and 16th centuries, begin to see the world from outside a limited perspective. This act, having gone unreported, does seriously show a lack of concern and proper reporting on the part of mainstream western media. As a New Yorker, I am saddened - and unfortunately not surprised - that an event like this was never shown the light of day. The world needs to wake up and realize that sometimes vultures do dress in eagles clothing.

us "white" folks don't give much attention to white terrorists because there really aren't that many. not compared with what we are dealing with elsewhere in the world........

Tabacco: Somehow that last comment makes it all worthwhile. The idiocy and myopia of Americans, particularly the younger ones. Not all Americans are ignorant and myopic. But there are enough to make you wonder how we got this way. Bush has only been in power 6 years, so the problem began before him. Education in America is almost nonexistent. People, on the average, weren’t this dumb back in the 60s. Some of these pro-Bush people are so uneducated it is shocking. And most of the educated ones are greedy, selfish SOBs. America is in deep do-do!

To read more comments, go to that website above.  I was particularly impressed by our Canadian neighbors to the north. I had no idea how much hatred they have for Bush’s America. My question is why Americans don’t show or evince more hatred and anger toward the Neocons.  It sometimes feels like I’m the only angry man in America. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy to see that there are still people in the world, who can feel and are not zombies. My admiration and respect to the rest of the world. Cheers!

I'm guessing it all comes down to respect, I don't feel any religion should be adamant that their way is the only way, instead they should be open-minded to the fact that people are going to have different beliefs, and learn to co-exist, but then again, this reads back to me as a plan for a utopian dream, and we know that's not feasible.

Suzanne De Passe, CEO, De Passe Entertainment, on the dearth of Blacks in media positions of power in America.

"I would argue that there's always been an economic case for diversity. You know, Black people didn't just get here. We've been here for quite some time with spending power and with the ability to influence things. But influence is not the same as power. Power is the absolute right to say "yes" or "no". We have lots of influence, but we don't have much power."

Reverend C. Herbert Oliver on ‘Like It Is’ 10-15-06

Oliver: I would say that the problem we’re facing is not just Brooklyn alone. I agree with you that it’s systemic; it’s nationwide. To just give an example, take the recent strike with Toussaint’s union –

Gil Noble, moderator: the Transit Worker’s Union.

Oliver: The Transit Worker’s Union. What did they do to him? After 3 days of strikes, he had to spend 10 days in jail (for breaking the Taylor Law). When the UFT struck in 1968, they struck for 6 weeks, nobody even thought of “going to jail”. Not only did they NOT go to jail, they were paid for all the time that they broke the law. That’s what happened then.

Tabacco: I don’t think it’s necessary to inform you that Toussaint is Black and the leaders of the UFT were White. More American JUSTICE based on skin-color!
