Tabacco: If the Media doesn’t talk about it, it must be unimportant, right? WRONG! What’s important about Jessica Simpson, Anna Nicole Smith, Britney Spears & Fabio! Except for Fabio (yesterday’s news), these three dominated the airwaves in 2007. Except for Britney, there isn’t a dime’s worth of talent, brains or importance among them. The problem is the Media doesn’t focus on Britney’s talent, but her personal problems. And you care! Yes, you do! If you didn’t care, the MSM wouldn’t bombard us 24/7 with Britney Trivial Pursuit. Nor would we get 24/7 Jessica, Anna Nicole or formerly Fabio Trivial Pursuit. Never has so much been said so often about so little.
Until 1963, few Whites outside of the Deep South knew much about Segregation or Slavery. How does one hide such an “Open Book”? If you had read the Constitution and understood which group “3/5 of all other persons” applied to, you would have known all about the “Negro Problem”. But that was really unimportant, right? WRONG! Only bigots would classify Segregation as being “Not News Worthy”.
We get a steady diet of Bush’s Surge, WMDs, Al Qaeda (about 1,300 total in Iraq), democracy for Iraq, that awful Saddam (until he was executed) etc etc. Saddam was awful when papa Bush was supporting, supplying and propagating Hussein. He was always awful and our leaders always knew it. That made no difference so long as he was doing US bidding. Once he stepped on our OIL SUPPLY TOES, he became an Easy Excuse to invade Iraq and steal their OIL! Shhhhhh!
We rarely hear about the MISSING IRAQI OIL, the 1,000,000 DEAD IRAQIS (most of whom did not carry weapons), or other US genocidal and self-serving actions. After all, who cares about DEAD IRAQIS! It’s not important. 3,500 or so DEAD AMERICANS, however, is important enough for Lou Dobbs to keep a running count! And who cares if US oil interests, with Bush’s aid, steal Iraqi Oil. That lowers the price of gasoline and No. 2 heating oil here, right? WRONG AGAIN! Shhhhh!
We now know that Saddam’s WMDs, (chemical & biological weapons sold to him by US Big Biz, not NUKES), were all disposed of. Bush made sure of that before the invasion. Your president is a C-O-W-A-R-D! Remember his “deer in the headlights” expression when he found out about 9/11 in that classroom? Yet many of his supporters still believe Saddam had WMDs. Not only that, they still believe the US has found those WMDs. How’s that for “HIDING THE TRUTH IN PLAIN SIGHT”! All Bush supporters cannot be STUPID. Some of them MUST be UNINFORMED or suffering from “COGNITIVE DISSONANCE”, greatly encouraged by Fox News. Shhhhh!
Almost all the Democratic candidates talk voluminously about “Universal Healthcare”. You say, “The Democrats want to fix the problem and cover all Americans”. WRONG! In talking about “Universal Healthcare”, they totally ignore “Single Payer Healthcare”. What’s the difference? Universal still includes the Insurance Companies & HMOs, who take their 35% off the top. “Single Payer” eliminates the Insurance Industry and requires only about 3% for government administration. Why would anybody want to give away 35-cents on the dollar just to keep the Insurance Industry pacified? POLITICIANS, OF COURSE! Shhhhh!
Those of you, who read this column, know who Dennis Kucinich is. The rest of America is being denied that information. That newspaper in Iowa last week excluded Dennis from the Democratic Debate. I guess they know nothing about that Internet Poll he won! Or maybe they did know! The result of the marginalization of this “Secret” Democratic candidate is that both the Democrat and the Republican nominees will support the Military-Industrial Complex. You certainly cannot believe that Hillary will stop Wars! Ditto for John McCain! No Republican candidate will “stand in the way of Sinners” (the Disaster Capitalists who profit from Wars). The very idea is ludicrous. No Democrat, who would actually stop preemptive Oil-inspired Wars, will get the nomination. Therefore Wars will continue because they are extremely PROFITABLE FOR THE FEW! The only way to assure that a Pro-War candidate is elected is to make certain that both nominees are Pro-War! Kerry vs. Bush 2004 is a Prime Example of that strategy. Shhhhhh!
Senator Hillary Clinton ignored both her Green Party opponent and, whenever she could, her Democratic opponent in her reelection campaign in 2006. She’s not the 1st incumbent to do that, and she won’t be the last. I deliberately omit those two names here to demonstrate how effective ignoring is as opposed to a “Smear” campaign. We remember the name of Willie Horton, but you cannot remember those, whose names are rarely mentioned. She was ably abetted by the Mainstream Media – SHHHHHHH!
Of course when the Mainstream Media is the Primary Beneficiary of an ignoble act such as the relaxation of Media Ownership, you can be damned sure you won’t hear much about it on Network TV or in your newspapers. The same applies to what they are attempting to do to the Internet. The MSM prefers to keep it secret. Shhhhhhhhhhh!
The “FairTax” is a prime example of how things can go wrong for the Rich & Selfish when you attempt to “Smear” instead of “Keep It Silent”. The proponents of this dastardly initiative smear the IRS as incompetent and wasteful, which of course it is. But their solution is Machiavellian. It would remove whatever is left of the Middleclass in America. All SALES TAXES are REGRESSIVE! That means they affect the lower-middle income people disproportionately, and the “Have-Mores” make out like bandits. Enough organizations are aware of that bit of Sophistry so that even George W. himself dare not push it for approval. Its “Unfairness” is unbounded, despite the name. If they could start all over again, Neal Boortz wouldn’t write a book, and the politicos would keep quiet while attempting to pass it in the dead of night without fanfare or transparency. But beware; it’s not dead yet! The bill is still in Congress though dormant for the time being. Shhhhh!

Ramos & Compean, the two border patrol agents doing time for shooting a drug dealer: even Lou Dobbs won’t lay the fault where it belongs – at the White House door, inside the Oval Office and at the hands of the Bush Brain Trust.
